A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 20, 2011 AS "A TRIBUTE
TO MS. LUCILLE RIELEY RIGHTS DAY" IN
RECOGNITION OF HER HISTORICAL, CULTURAL,
ARCHEOLOGICAL, AND EDUCATIONAL
CONTRIBUTIONS TO ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. St. Lucie County recognizes the 60 years of contributions to St. Lucie County by one of the
Treasure Coast's most prominent citizens, Ms. Lucile Rieley Rights, a longtime member of
the St. Lucie County Historical Commission.
2. Ms. Rights is one of St. Lucie County's most active and prominent figures in the
preservation of historic structures and properties and archaeological sites of this county.
3. Ms. Rights is dedicated to promoting, preserving, and protecting the history of St. Lucie
County; and has researched and assisted in the designation of various sites throughout the
County to the National Register of Historic Places.
4. Ms. Rights is commended for her ability to instill in St. Lucie County residents, visitors, and
history students of all ages an appreciation and respect for the unique history and cultural
heritage of this county.
5. St. Lucie County is grateful for Ms. Rights' generosity and good cheer in her countless hours
of volunteer contributions to the educational programs of the St. Lucie County Regional
History Center.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby proclaim November 20, 2011 as "A Tribute to Lucille Rieley Rights
Day" in St. Lucie County, Florida.
2. This Board urges other citizens to join in tribute and recognition of the accomplishments
and quality of educational programs, historical preservation, volunteer service, and
dedication to St. Lucie County which Ms. Lucille Rieley Rights continues to demonstrate
each day.
