A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR OR
HER DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AGREEMENTS, ASSURANCES,
REIMBURSEMENT INVOICES, WARRANTIES AND OTHER
DOCUMENTS, WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED UNDER THE
NEIGHBORHOOD STABILITZATION PROGRAM (NSP), AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. On August 11, 2009, the Board entered into a Neighborhood Stabilization
Program (NSP) Grant Contract with the Florida Department of Community Affairs to acquire,
rehabilitate, demolish and redevelop foreclosed and abandoned properties in order to stabilize
neighborhoods.
2. On October 27, 2009, the Board adopted Resolution No. 09-306 which
authorized the County Administrator or her designee to sign all necessary documents related to
the August 11, 2009 NSP Grant Contract with the Florida Department of Community Affairs.
3. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development has renewed
the NSP to further stabilize neighborhoods affected by foreclosed and abandoned properties.
4. In order to further insure the efficient and expedient delivery of services under
NSP, it is appropriate to extend the authority of the County Administrator or her designee to
sign all necessary documents related to NSP Grant Contracts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
1. This Board designates the County Administrator or her designee as the staff
position to execute any and all subsequent documents necessary including agreements,
assurances, reimbursement invoices, warranties and other documents which may be required
in connection with the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
2. This resolution shall become effective on adoption.
