A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PLAN ("HAP") FOR THE ST. LUCIE
COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION
PROGRAM 3 ("NSP 3"); AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. The Housing and Economic Recovery Ace signed into law on July 30, 2001, provided
Neighborhood Stabilization (NSP) funds to assist local governmentsto acquire land
and property for demolition, rehabilitation, and sale of foreclosed and abandoned
properties to land bank in areas of greatest need to address neighborhood decline.
2. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development has allocated
St. Lucie County funds for the acquisition, rehabilitation and disposition of such
foreclosed properties under Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 ("NSP 3").
3. The proposed NSP 3 Housing Assistance Plan ("HAP")will serve as the framework
for selecting beneficiaries and housing units for housing assistance under all
strategies and eligible activities under the County's NSP3 Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby adopt the St. Lucie County Neighborhood Program 3
Housing Assistance Plan incorporated by reference.
2. This resolution shall take effect upon the date of adoption.
