A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT
TRUST FUND OF THE STATE OF PEORIA GRANT
EASEMENTS FOR UTILITIES AND ACCESS TO ST.
LUCIE COUNTY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE
TREASURE COAST EDUCATION, DEVELOPMENT
AND RESEARCH PARK
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. Pursuant to Section 159.703, Florida Statutes, the Board created
the Treasure Coast Education, Research and Development Authority for the
purposes of developing the Treasure Coast Education, Development and
Research Park.
2. The Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as "TIIF", owns certain property located within and
adjacent to the Treasure Coast Education, Development and Research Park
which is leased to the University of Florida.
3. In order to facilitate the development of the Treasure Coast
Education, Development and Research Park, it is necessary to install utilities
and access improvements on the property owned by TIIF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby requests the Board of Trustees of the Internal
Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida grant an easement to St.
Lucie County for the installation and maintenance of utilities and access
improvements as further described in the legal descriptions attached hereto
and incorporated herein as Exhibits "A" and "B", respectively.
2. The County Administrator is hereby directed to forward a copy of
this resolution to the Director of Facilities Planning and Operations/Office of
the Senior Vice President for Agriculture and National Resources, University
of Florida.
After motion and second, the vote on Resolution 12-041 was as
follows:

Legal Description
An easement for utility purpose, over, under and across a parcel of land lying in Section 14, Township 35
South, Range 39 East, St. Lucie County, Florida. Said easement being more particularly described as
follows:
The South 15.00 feet of the North 64.00 feet of the Northwest one-quarter (NW %.) of the Southeast
one~uarter (SE'/.) of said Section 14.
LESS and except the West 30.00 feet for right-of-way of Rock Road.
Containing 0.46 acres, more or less.
Surveyor's Notes:

survey.

Legal Description
An easement for access, pedestrian and utility purposes over, under and across a parcel of land lying
in the Southwest one-quarter (SW'/.) of the Southeast one-quarter (SE'/,) of Section 14, Township 35
South, Range 39 East, St. Lucie County, Florida. Said easement being more particularly described as
follows:
Commence at the Southeast corner of said Section 14; thence along the South line of said Section 14,
South 89°46'45" West, a distance of 1357.71 feet to the Southeast corner of aforesaid Southwest
one-quarter (SW'/.) of the Southeast one-quarter (SE '/.); thence along the East line of said
Southwest one-quarter (SW'/.) of the Southeast one-quarter (SE '/<), North 00°34'50" West, a distance
of 90.00 feet to the Point of Beginning said point being on a line 90.00 feet north of and parallel with,
as measured at right angles to, the aforesaid South line of Section 14; thence along said line, South
89°46'45" West, a distance of 1277.80 feet; thence North 52°09'18" West, a distance of 23.52 feet to a
point on a line 104.50 feet North of, as measured at right angles to, the aforesaid South line of Section
14; thence along said line, North 89°46'45" East, a distance of 1258.81 feet; thence North 34°29'24"
East, a distance of 65.13 feet to the aforesaid East line of said Southwest one-quarter (SW'/.) of the
