HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-110RESOLUTION NO. 13-110 A RESOLUTION ALLOWING PROJECT RESPONSE, INC., A FLORIDA NOT FOR PROFIT CORPORATION, THE USE OF 408 BROWN'S COURT, FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County Health Department and Project Response, Inc., a Florida not for profit corporation, have request that Project Response, Inc. be permitted to use the building located at 408 Brown's Court, Fort Pierce, Florida, to provide office space in conjunction with the provision of services to the community pursuant to its agreement with the St. Lucie County Health Department; and WHEREAS, Section 125.38, Florida Statutes requires that any not-for-profit organization wishing to use any real or personal property that may be owned by any county or this state or by its board of county commissioners, for public or community interest and welfare, may apply to the Board of County Commissioners for a conveyance or lease of such property; and WHEREAS, Section 125.38 further states that if it is determined by the Board of County Commissioners that such property is required for such use and is not needed for County purposes, the Board can allow the use of such property; and WHEREAS, the County desires to make the subject property available to Project Response, Inc. for office in conjunction with the services it provides pursuant to its agreement with the St. Lucie County Health Department. Florida: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, 1. The Board does hereby grant permission to Project Response, Inc., to use the Site for offices and related uses in conjunction with its agreement with the St. Lucie County Health Department. 2. The term of this use shall be concurrent with the term of the agreement, as may be amended, between the St. Lucie County Health Department and Project, unless otherwise terminated as provided for in the Agreement. The term of the Agreement may be renewed upon mutual agreement of the parties upon the same terms and conditions. 3. This resolution shall take effect on the date of adoption.
