A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PETITIONS TO
EXPAND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT TO ADD TRADITION
PLAT NO. 19, TOWNPARK PHASE ONE AND
TRADITION PLAT NO. 19 REPEAT, TOWNPARK PHASE
ONE, AND AUTHORIZING A REFERENDUM OF THE
QUALIFIED ELECTORS IN THE SUB]ECT AREA FORTHE
PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO EXPAND
THE DISTRICT BOUNDARIESTO ADD SUCH PROPERTY
TO THE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County Mosquito Control District has made the
following determinations:
1. Section 29, Chapter 87-510, Laws of Florida, establishes a procedure
whereby the owners of property located outside of the boundaries of the District may
petition the District to expand the boundaries of the District to include their property.
2. On August 20, 2013, the District held a public hearing to consider the
petitions submitted by owners of the property lying adjacent to the existing boundaries
of the District seeking to expand the District's boundaries to add their property.
3. The subject property is contiguous to the existing boundaries of the
District and would benefit from regular treatment for mosquitos and sandflies by the
District.
4. Following the conclusion ofthe public hearing, the District determined that
it is in the best interest of the District and the affected property owners to expand the
boundaries of the District to add the property lying adjacent to the existing District
boundaries in the area known as Townpark, as more particularly described in the legal
description attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A,"hereinafter referred
to as the "Subject Property."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Mosquito
Control District:
1. The petition to expand the District boundaries to add the Subject Property
is hereby approved.
2. The District does hereby direct the Supervisor of Elections to conduct a
mail ballot referendum in accordance with the Mail Ballot Election Act on the following
proposition to be voted upon by the qualified electors of St. Lucie County residing on
the Subject Property:

MOSOUITO CONTROL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
Shall the boundaries of the St. Lucie County Mosquito
Control District be expanded to add the following described
property lying west of the existing boundaries of the
District:
Tradition Plat No. 19, Townpark Phase One, as
recorded in Plat Book 47, Pages 32-64 of the
public records of St. Lucie County, Florida, and
all replats thereof.
