HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-177RESOLUTION NO. 13-177 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2013 ST. LUCIE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN (CEMP) FOR ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. Part 1, Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, "State Emergency Management Act" establishes a Division of Emergency Management and prescribes its powers and responsibilities thereof. 2. Section 252.38, Florida Statutes, establishes the emergency management powers of counties including the requirement that each county develop a County Emergency Management Plan and Program (CEMP) that is coordinated and consistent with the State Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and Program. 3. On January 8, 2003, the Board adopted Resolution No. 08-023 ratified and adopted the 1997 St. Lucie Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) for St. Lucie County, Florida, as amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners which of St. Lucie County, Florida: 1. This Board hereby ratifies and adopts the 2013 St. Lucie County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) for St. Lucie, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference. 2. The St. Lucie County Public Safety and Communications Director is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Bryan Koon, Director of Emergency Management, State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management, 2555 Shumard Oak Boulevard, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-2100.
