WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners budget
for St. Lucie County, certain funds not anticipated at the time of adoption of the budget have become
available in the form of a grant from the Division of Emergency Management in the amount of $15,778, as
funding to execute plans and exercises that will test the knowledge, skills and abilities of personnel,
organizations and the public/private partnerships, and to ensure that personnel involved in the
Emergency Operation Center continue to receive appropriate training as required by the National
Response Guidelines (NRG).
WHEREAS, Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes, requires the Board of County Commissioners to adopt a
resolution to appropriate and expend such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida, in meeting assembled this 12th day of December, 2013, pursuant to Section 129.06 (d), Florida
Statutes that such funds are hereby appropriated for the fiscal year 2013-2014, and the County's budget
is hereby amended as follows:
