OUTLAW FOR OVER NINE YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AND ASSISTANT COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR FOR ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. On May 14, 2014, Ms. Faye Outlawwill leave her position as County AdministratorforSt.Lucie County, Florida, which she has held since January 9, 2009, having been originally hired as Assistant County Administrator on September 13, 2004. 2. Ms. Outlaw's most notable achievement was guiding the County through its most difficult and challenging economic times as a result of the Great Recession that led to the creation of a more sustainable budget made possible through consolidating departmental operations and implementing other efficiencies. She accomplished thiswhile providingqualityservicesand maintainingstandardsofexcellencethecommunity has come to desire and expect. 3. Ms. Outlaw was recognized by the Florida City and County Management Council who presented her with the 2011 Career Excellence Award. She was also selected as American City & County's County Leader of the Year for 2011 for her determination to serve her constituents during tough economic times and her willingness to make tough decisions to solve problems. 4. In her five plus years as County Administrator, and her previous years of service as Assistant County Administrator, Ms. Outlaw has efficiently, competently, and untiringly served the Board of County Commissioners and the citizens of St. Lucie County. NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, for itself and on behalf of the citizens of St. Lucie County, does hereby commend Ms. Faye W. Outlaw for her nine (9) years of outstanding service including five plus years as County Administratorfor St. Lucie County, and does hereby take this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation and gratitude for a job well done. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be presented to Ms. Faye W. Outlaw as a token of this Board's appreciation. PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 6`"day of May, 2014.
