A RESOLUTION RE -NAMING AN AREA CURRENTLY REFERRED TO AS
THE LINCOLN PARK RECREATION AREA AND COLLECTIVELY KNOWN
AS THE LINCOLN PARK COMMUNITY CENTER, HORATIO GRIGSBY
BASEBALL, ILOUS ELLIS BASKETBALL, OPEN SPACE, LINCOLN PARK
POOLAND POP WARNER ASTHE "LINCOLN PARK REGIONAL PARK"
IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. The Lincoln Park Community Center, Ilous Ellis Basketball, Lincoln Park Pool, Horatio
Grigsby Baseball, Open Space and Pop Warner Football are currently referred to as the
Lincoln Park Recreation Area.
2. The residents are requesting that, because of the number and variety of elements present
in this area, the area be named the "Lincoln Park Regional Park".
3. The individual amenities that have been named after local residents will retain their names,
but will collectively form the Lincoln Park Regional Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby rename the Lincoln Park Recreation Area as "LINCOLN PARK
REGIONAL PARK" in St. Lucie County, Florida.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 18`" day of November 2014.
