A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JOYCE BRAUN
FOR OVER FORTY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO
THE BOARD OF COUNTYCOMMISSION ERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
Joyce Braun began her employment with St. Lucie County on August 12, 1974.
Joyce spent many years as a Development Regulations Reviewer and was instrumental in
developing the rules and procedures for the County's first digital building permit system.
She also spent many years overseeing system development and refining the standards for
processing building permits for the County.
3. As a Mapping Technician, Joyce was responsible for creating hand drawn maps for zoning,
future land use and BOCC presentation products. From paper maps to digital information,
Joyce has played a key role in the development of the County's GIS. She has since become
an accomplished GIS Analyst, able to perform complex land use analysis and produce high
quality graphic map output.
4. Joyce has been a dedicated staff member over the past forty years and her contributions
have fostered efficiency in the delivery of services to the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in a meeting assembled this 31St day of March 2015
that the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, does hereby honor Joyce
Braun for her years of faithful service to the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be presented to Joyce Braun
as a token of this Board's appreciation.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 31St day of March 2015.
