A RESOLUTION RE -NAMING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AS THE "TREASURE COAST
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND BUSINESS PARK" IN ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. St. Lucie County International Airport, which covers 3,660 acres, is located at 3000 Curtis
King Blvd., Fort Pierce (1.5 miles west of US 1 on St. Lucie Blvd., Fort Pierce).
2. St. Lucie County International Airport, is owned and operated bythe St. Lucie County Board
of County Commissioners.
3. The mission of the Airport is to operate the St. Lucie County International Airport in a safe,
efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner, while serving the airport tenants and the
general aviation community, and the air transportation needs of the County.
4. At the April 7, 2015 meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, the Board approved
and accepted the Airport's new Business and Marketing Plan, which was the culmination
of a multi-year process to assess the current state of the Airport and create a plan to
increase activity and revenue.
5. One of the steps in the Business and Marketing Plan requested the Board rename the St.
Lucie County International Airport as the "Treasure Coast International Airport and
Business Park".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby rename the St. Lucie County International Airport as the
"TREASURE COAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND BUSINESS PARK" in St. Lucie County,
Florida.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 5th day of May 2015.
