A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 09-241, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION III.
MEMBERSHIP, OF THE OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES FOR ST. LUCIE
COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) NON -QUASI
JUDICIAL ADVISORY BOARDS AND COMMITTEES, TO PROVIDE FOR
MEMBERS WHO RELOCATE OUT OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY WHILE SERVING
ON AN ADVISORY OR COMMITTEE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made the following determinations:
1. The Board has created numerous advisory boards and committees which play a significant
role in the operation of County Government; and
2. On August 25, 2009, the Board adopted Resolution No. 09-241 which created uniform
operational procedures for non -quasi-judicial advisory boards and committees; and
3. On August 2, 2012, the Board adopted Resolution No. 12-156 which amended the uniform
operational procedures which will result in the more efficient and effective use of the services provided by
these advisory boards and committees and the County staff assigned to assist them; and,
4. The Board desires to further amend the operational procedures to address members who
relocate their residence outside of St. Lucie County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
A. Section III. Memberships, of the "Operational Procedures for St. Lucie County Board of
County Commissioners (BOCC) Non -quasi-judicial Advisory Boards and Committees is hereby amended to
add the following provision:
18. In the event a Committee member relocates his/her residence outside of St. Lucie
County, the member may continue to serve for up to ninety (90) days following the date of
relocation. This provision shall not apply to members of Committees whose residency
requirements are established by Florida statute and/or St. Lucie County ordinance.
B. This resolution shall be effective on the date of its adoption.
