A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ST. LUCIE
COUNTY ADVANCED TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") has completed, on behalf
of the St Lucie Transportation Planning Organization ("TPO"), the Advanced Transportation
Management System ("ATMS") Master Plan for St. Lucie County; and
WHEREAS, the FDOT has developed the St. Lucie County ATMS Project (FPID# 435245)
based on the ATMS Master Plan to increase transportation efficiency, enhance mobility, and
improve safety throughout St. Lucie County; and
WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County ATMS Project ("Project") is consistent with the Go2040
Long Range Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Project was included in the TPO's List of Priority Projects; and
WHEREAS, FDOT included the Project in the FDOT Work Program for funding; and
WHEREAS, FDOT has initiated the implementation of the Project and requested that St.
Lucie County ("County") adopt a resolution expressing support of the Project; and
WHEREAS, the County supports a multi -jurisdictional, coordinated effort to increase
transportation efficiency, enhance mobility, and improve safety throughout St. Lucie County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
1. The Board supports the implementation of the Project.
2. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption.
