A RESOLUTION FOR ASSISTANCE 2017 WITH FLORIDA FISH & WILDLIFE
CONSERVATION COMMISSION — FLORIDA BOATING IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM (FWC-FBIP) #17-040 FOR FISHERMANS WHARF BOAT
RAMP AND PARKING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - DESIGN AND
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE THE RESOLUTION AND
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO EXECUTE THE
RESOLUTION BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. The County is interested in carrying out the Fisherman's Wharf Boat Ramp and
Parking Improvement Project - Design for the enjoyment of the ,citizenry of Fort Pierce and St.
Lucie County and the State of Florida.
2. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission has requested that the Board
adopt a Resolution to accompany the grant application to the Florida Boating Improvement
Program for a total estimated project cost of $150,000.00 with FBIP matching fifty percent or
$75,000.00 and requiring a Local County Match of fifty percent or $75,000.00.
3. The Board should authorize and approve execution of the Resolution with the
Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission for the above -referenced project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby makes application to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation
Commission (FWC-FBIP #17-040) in the amount of fifty percent or $75,000.00 of the actual cost
of the project and will accept the terms and conditions set forth in the FWC-FBIP Application.
2. The Board authorizes Mr. Kyle Croce, P.E. Port Engineer, to serve as Project
Manager.
3. The Board agrees to finance the County's fifty percent share of the project cost.
4. The Board intends to operate and maintain the project for public use at the
expense of the County.
5. The Board hereby authorizes and Chairman to execute this resolution and further
authorizes the County Attorney to execute the resolution by approving it as to form and
correctness.
