WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners for St.
Lucie County, certain funds not anticipated at the time of adoption of the budget have become available
from the Florida Department of Transportation Service Development Grant, in the amount of $278,000. The
funding from the Florida Department of Transportation Service Development Grant will provide funding to
implement a two year fare -free pilot program for public transportation services including both, the fixed route
and para -transit services.
WHEREAS, Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes, requires the Board of County Commissioners to adopt a
resolution to appropriate and expend such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida, in meeting assembled this 15th day of August, 2017 pursuant to Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes
that such funds are hereby appropriated for the fiscal year 2016-2017, and the County's budget is hereby
amended as follows:
