WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners for St.
Lucie County, certain funds not anticipated at the time of adoption of the budget have become available
from Community Service's Transit Division from the Direct Connect Program, in the amount of $2,500. The funding
from the Direct Connect Program will provide funding to drivers providing after-hours, early morning,
evening and weekend transportation services to Transportation Disadvantaged individuals defined as
Elderly (60 years or older), having a disability(s) that restrict mobility, and/or income constrained, as defined
as a person whose income is 250% or less of the regional poverty level.
WHEREAS, Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes, requires the Board of County Commissioners to adopt a
resolution to appropriate and expend such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida, in meeting assembled this 3rd day of October, 2017 pursuant to Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes
that such funds are hereby appropriated for the fiscal year 2017-2018, and the County's budget is hereby
amended as follows:

APPROPRIATIONS
130-4410-534000-400 Other Contractual Services $2,500
