A RESOLUTION OF THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS SUPPORTING THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION PROJECT (FM No. 231440-3) FOR WEST MIDWAY
ROAD — GLADES CUT-OFF ROAD TO SELVITZ ROAD FOR THE
WIDENING FROM TWO TO FOUR LANES AND COMPLETING ALL
PHASES OF THE WEST MIDWAY ROAD PROJECT ON THE COUNTY'S
BEHALF AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM AND
CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. Midway Road is a County owned road.
2. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be the agency responsible for
completing all activities on the West Midway Road Project.
3. St. Lucie County, as the owner of Midway Road, is committed to the operation and
maintenance of Midway Road.
4. St. Lucie County supports FDOT delivery of all phases of the project on their behalf.
5. The West Midway Road project will further the goal of the County to support
development, design and construction of sustainable roads throughout the County, to
meet the demands of residents, travelers, businesses, and the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby authorizes the Chairman to execute the above -referenced agreement
and further authorizes the County Attorney to execute the agreement by approving it as
to form and correctness.
After motion and second, the vote on this Resolution was as follows:
