A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 13-101 AND WITHDRAWING
SUPPORT FOR ST. LUCIE COUNTY'S INCLUSION WITHIN THE SERVICE AREA OF
FOREIGN TRADE ZONE (FTZ) 135; AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR TO EXECUTE A
LETTER RESCINDING THE LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE
PORT OF PALM BEACH DISTRICT FOR ALTERNATIVE SITE FRAMEWORK
DESIGNATION TO THE U.S. FOREIGN TRADE ZONE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made the following determinations:
1. By Resolution No. 13-101, adopted June 4, 2013, this Board supported the Letter of
Support forthe application ofthe Port of Palm Beach District for alternative site framework
designation to the U.S. Foreign Trade Zone 135.
2. Due to subsequent events since 2013, this Board has determined that is not in the best
interest of St. Lucie Countv to be included with the service area of FTZ 135.
3. This Board has reconsidered Resolution No. 13-101 and determined to rescind Resolution
No. 13-101 and withdraw its support for St. Lucie County's inclusion within the service area
of FTZ 135.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Board of County
Commissioners:
1. Resolution No. 13-101 is hereby rescinded and this Board withdraws its support for the
application of the Port of Palm Beach District for alternative site framework designation
to the U.S. Foreign Trade Zone 135.
2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
3. The County Administrator is hereby directed to send a copy of this resolution to
the Port of Palm Beach(Foreign Trade Zone #135); Executive Secretary, Foreign
Trade Zone Board; and Qahira EI -Amin, Designated Examiner, FTZ Staff.
After motion and second, the vote on this resolution was as follows:
