LUCIE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT, AUTHORIZING THE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF WATER, WASTEWATER, AND REUSE UTILITY RATES, FEES AND CHARGES FOR CUSTOMERS. WITHIN THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on July 5, 2016, in Resolution No. 16-103, the Board established the amended wastewater and reuse utility rates, fees and charges for the utility services furnished to the customers of the District ("2016 North County Rate Resolution"); and WHEREAS, on May 2, 2017, the Board of County commissioners adopted Resolution No. 17-100, dissolving the South Hutchinson Island (SHI) Municipal Services Benefit Unity (MSBU) and consolidating the SHI Wastewater System into the District, providing that SHI utility rates would be applicable until revised by the District to the District's rates. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, sitting as the Commission of the St. Lucie County Water and Sewer District ("District Commission"): Section 1. ADOPTION OF THE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE 2015 RATE SCHEDULE FOR THE DISTRICT AND APPLYIN SUCH RATE SCHEDULE TO THE FORMER SHI MSBU CUSTOMERS. Pursuant to Resolution No. 16-103, the 2018 Rate Schedule, attached to this Resolution as Exhibit "1", setting forth the adjusted rates, fees and charges for customers within the St. Lucie County Water and Sewer District to be serviced by the District utility system are hereby adopted and shall be effective commencing with the first billing cycle on or after February 1, 2019. The adopted 2018 Rate Schedule shall apply to all District customers, including the former customers of the SHI MSBU. W&S District Rate Resolution 2018 Section 2. FPUA RATE PASS THOURGH. Pursuant to Resolution No. 16-103, the FPUA 3% annual water and sewer rate adjustments to FPUA's water and sewer service to the District planned for the next five years are hereby authorized as annual pass-through rate adjustments to the 2018 Rate Schedule, without the need for further review and action by the District Commission. Any increase by FPUA to the 3% annual rate adjustment over the next five years must be reviewed and approved by the District Commission pursuant to Resolution No. 16- 103. Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. The 2018 Rate Schedule shall be effective commencing with the first billing cycle on or after February 1, 2019. Section 4. ADOPTION.
