A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST.
LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE TRANSPORTATION
ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made the following determinations:
1. The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant provides federal funding for up to
80% of construction costs for sidewalks.
2. Applications for the current funding cycle (FY 2023) have been submitted.
3. County staff has coordinated with St. Lucie County Schools Transportation Division to
identify the need for sidewalk along Bell Avenue from South 25th Street to Sunrise Boulevard.
4. The application requires a resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners
in support of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners:
1. This Board does hereby proclaim its support for the Transportation Alternatives
program in St. Lucie County, Florida.
2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
3. This Resolution shall be forwarded to the TPO.
