A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 11-161 TO
AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR OR DESIGNEE TO
EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING
AGREEMENTS, ASSURANCES, REIMBURSEMENT INVOICES,
WARRANTIES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS, WHICH MAY BE
REQUIRED UNDER FEDERAL AND STATE HOUSING PROGRAMS,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. On August 11, 2009, the Board entered into a Neighborhood Stabilization Program
(NSP) Grant Contract with the Florida Department of Community Affairs to acquire, rehabilitate,
demolish and redevelop foreclosed and abandoned properties in order to stabilize
neighborhoods.
2. On October 27, 2009, the Board adopted Resolution No. 09-306 which authorized
the County Administrator or designee to sign all necessary documents related to the August 11,
2009 NSP Grant Contract with the Florida Department of Community Affairs.
3. On October 18, 2011, the Board adopted Resolution No. 11-161 to extend the
authority of the County Administrator or designee to sign all necessary documents related to NSP
Grant Contracts.
4. In order to ensure the efficient and expedient delivery of services under all federal
and state housing programs, it is appropriate to amend Resolution No. 11-161 to authorize the
County Administrator or designee to sign all necessary documents required for all federal and
state housing program grant programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
1. This Board designates the County Administrator or designee as the staff position
to execute any and all subsequent documents necessary including agreements, assurances,
reimbursement invoices, warranties and other documents which may be required in connection
with all federal and state housing grant programs.
2. This resolution shall become effective on adoption.
