A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE NAME OF
VOICI BERNADETTE ARTIFICIAL REEF DEPLOYMENT
AS THE CCA - CURTIS BOSTICK REEF
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determination:
1. On June 23, 2019, the vessel M/V Voici Bernadette was deployed. The Coastal
Conservation Association (CCA) of Florida in association with the Music City Chapter of the CCA
collectively contributed $50,000.00 St. Lucie County for this deployment.
2. A post -deployment inspection showed that the Voici Bernadette is now upright and
stable at the bottom of the permitted Fort Pierce Sportfishing Club artificial reef site and providing fish
habitat and recreational opportunities.
3. Curtis Bostick was a founding member of the CCA and an avid fish conservationist. The
CCA has requested the reef be named the CCA-Curtis Bostick Reef.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida:
1. This Board does hereby designate the naming of Voici Bernadette Artificial Reef
Deployment as the CCA-Curtis Bostick Reef.
2. This resolution shall be effective upon adoption.
After motion and second, the vote on this resolution was as follows:
