A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 17-23,2019 AS
"CONSTITUTION WEEK" IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
The Constitution of the United5tates of America, insures the rights of everyAmerican and
provides the framework for the administration of our Country.
September 17, 2019 marks the 232nd Anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the
United States of America by the Constitutional Convention.
3. It is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this magnificent document and its
memorable anniversary, and to the patriotic celebrations which will commemorate it.
4. Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by the President of the
United States of America designating September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby proclaim the week of September 17-23, 2019 as
"CONSTITUTION WEEK" in St. Lucie County, Florida and asks our citizens to reaffirm the ideals the
framers of the Constitution had in 1787, by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us
through the guardian of our liberties.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 10th day of September 2019.
