A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST LUCIE
COUNTY AGREEING TO HAVE ITS COUNTY BOUNDARIES ALTERED TO MOVE A
0.65 ACRE PARCEL FROM ST LUCIE COUNTY TO INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AND AT
THE SAME TIME TRANSFERRING 5.56 ACRES OF LAND FROM INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY TO ST LUCIE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has
made the following determinations:
There is an oceanfront lot with a single family home owned by Mr. & Mrs.
Szentirmai, that is half in St Lucie County and half in Indian River County AND
whose address is 2498 South State Road Al A, Vero Beach, Florida 32963.
2. The property owner presently pays ad valorem property taxes in both counties.
3. Indian River County has suggested a boundary change transferring the 0.65 acre
portion of Mr. & Mrs. Szentirmai parcel from St Lucie County into Indian River
County, transferring 5.56 acres of land on the west side of from Indian River County
into St Lucie County - as depicted on the attached map (Exhibit "A).
4. The 5.56 acre tract of land on the west side of Al currently in Indian River County
is part of a proposed residential development called Round Island Plantation, the
bulk of which is in St Lucie County.
5. Access to the Round Island Plantation land in Indian River County can only be
accessed from St Lucie County. In addition, water and sewer utilities to the entire
development will be provided by St Lucie County Utilities.
6. The owner of the proposed Round Island Plantation project has expressed interest
in agreeing to the swap as it will make development of the project simpler in dealing
with only one government.
7. The legal descriptions of both parcels are attached as Exhibit "B" and Exhibit "C"
and would be added to a bill approved by the Florida Legislature altering the legal
descriptions of both Counties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. The St Lucie County Board of County Commissioners does hereby agree to
the proposed change of County boundaries of land with Indian River County as described
herein.

7.59 St. Lucie County. —The boundary lines of St. Lucie County are as follows: Beginning
on the eastern boundary of the State of Florida at a point where the north section line of
section thirteen, township thirty-seven south, range forty-one east, produced easterly,
would intersect the same; thence westerly on the north line of said section and other
sections to the northwest corner of section eighteen, township thirty-seven south, range
forty-one east; thence south along the range line between ranges forty east and forty-one
east which is concurrent with the St. Lucie County and Martin County boundary lines to the
intersection with the north line of the south 508.15 feet of the northeast quarter of section
twenty-four, township thirty-seven south, range forty east; thence west along the south
508.15-foot line of the northeast quarter of section twenty-four, township thirty-seven south,
range forty east and concurrent with the municipal boundary line of the City of Port St.
Lucie to the intersection of the east 924.15-foot line of section twenty-four, township thirty-

Lucie, a bearing direction (State Plane Coordinate System, Florida East Zone) of south 45
degrees, 16 minutes west, 2,355 feet more or less, to a point within the body of water of
the north fork of the St. Lucie River; thence departing said point a bearing direction (State
Plane Coordinate System, Florida East Zone) of south 41 degrees, 4 minutes east, 6,155
feet more or less to a point located in the body of the north fork of the St. Lucie River which
intersects with the west line of section thirty, township thirty-seven south, range forty-one
east; thence south 6,459 feet along the west line of sections thirty and thirty-one, township
thirty-seven south, range forty-one east, to the intersection with the township line between
townships thirty-seven and thirty-eight south; also being the southwest corner of section
thirty-one, township thirty-seven, range forty-one east; thence west on the said township
line to the range line dividing ranges thirty-six and thirty-seven east; thence north on said
range line, concurrent with the east boundary of Okeechobee County, to the northwest
corner of township thirty-four south, range thirty-seven east; thence east on the township
line dividing townships thirty-three and thirty-four south to a point of intersection with the
easterly mean high water line of Round Island Creek; thence meandering
northwesterly along said mean high water line to its intersection with the north line
of Lot 25, plat of Kansas City Colony, as recorded in Plat book 4, page 23, of the
public records of St. Lucie County, Florida. Said north line of Lot 25 lying 150 north
of, and parallel with, as measured at right -angles to, the township line dividing
townships thirty-three and thirty-four south; thence east along the north line of said
Lot 25 to the west right-of-way line of State Road A-1-A; thence southeasterly along
said right-of-way line to the intersection of said west right-of-way line and a line
lying 45.22 feet south of, as measured at right angles to, the township line dividing
townships thirty-three and thirty-four south; thence east along said line lying 45.22

7.31 Indian River County. —The boundary lines of Indian River County are as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of township thirty-one south, of range thirty-five east;
thence east on the line dividing the townships thirty and thirty-one south, to the point where
said line intersects the thread of the south fork of the St. Sebastian River; thence northerly
down the thread of said stream to the main stream of the St. Sebastian River; thence down
the thread of the St. Sebastian River to its confluence with the Indian River; thence east
to the intersection with the southwesterly extension of the centerline of the approach
channel to the Sebastian Inlet from the Indian River; thence northeasterly along said
centerline and continue northeasterly and easterly along the centerline of the Sebastian
Inlet to the Atlantic Ocean; thence southward along the Atlantic coast, including the waters
of the Atlantic Ocean within the jurisdiction of the State of Florida to the intersection of
said Atlantic coast and a line lying 45.22 feet south of, as measured at right angles
to, the township line dividing townships thirty-three and thirty-four south; thence
west, parallel with, and 45.22 feet south of said township line, to the west right-of-
way line of State Road A-1-A; thence northwesterly along said right-of-way line to
the intersection of said right-of-way line and the north line of Lot 25, plat of Kansas
