A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
ST.LUCIECOUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF
A NEW TURNPIKE INTERCHANGE AT MIDWAY ROAD IN ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made the following determinations:
The Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) is currently performing a PD&E (Project Development
& Environment) study for turnpike facilities from Jupiter to Fort Pierce.
2. The Turnpike is planning to widen from a four lane facility to a ten lane facility.
The FTE is evaluating several locations for new interchanges within the study limits.
4. The County supports the development of a new turnpike interchange at Midway Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Board of County
Commissioners:
1. This Board does hereby proclaim its support for a newturnpike exchange at Midway Road.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
The County Administrator is directed to send a copy of this resolution to the County's state
legislative delegation and to the Florida Turnpike Exchange.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this V day of October, 2019.
