A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING A UTILITY AND DRAINAGE
EASEMENT IN LAKEWOOD PARK - UNIT 12A SUBDIVISION AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK
11, PAGES 35 - 37 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:

That Sections 177.101, 336.09 and 336.10, Florida Statutes, as amended, and Section
11.10.01 et. seq. of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code, provide that the County
may adopt resolutions vacating plats in whole or in part, which are under the jurisdiction
of the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida.
Pursuant to Plat Book 11, Pages 35 - 37, known as Lakewood Park - Unit 12A, St. Lucie
County and the general public have a dedicated interest in the following described land:
Those portions of a platted 10' utility and drainage easement to be
abandoned, as described as follows:
The South 168.47 feet of the West 10 feet of Lot 12, Block 173-A, Lakewood
Park - Unit 12A, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 11,
Pages 35 - 37 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida.
and
The South 158.47 feet of the East 10 feet of Lot 13, Block 173-A, Lakewood
Park - Unit 12A, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 11,

Pages 35 - 37 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida.
3. A Notice of Intent to Abandon was advertised on September 28, 2019 and October 5,
2019, and no objections were received.
4. On October 3, 2019, property owners within 500 feet were notified and no objections
were received.
5. On October 4, 2019, a Notice of Public Hearing was advertised in the St. Lucie News
Tribune.
6. All relevant public utilities have provided written consent to the abandonment.
7. County staff reviewed the petition and have no objections to the proposed abandonment.
8. It is in the best interest of the public to vacate and abandon the utility and drainage
easement in Lakewood Park - Unit 12A more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of a platted 10' utility and drainage easement to be
abandoned, as described as follows:
The South 168.47 feet of the West 10 feet of Lot 12, Block 173-A, Lakewood
Park - Unit 12A, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 11,
Pages 35 - 37 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida.
and
The South 158.47 feet of the East 10 feet of Lot 13, Block 173-A, Lakewood
Park - Unit 12A, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 11,
Pages 35 - 37 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:

Is hereby vacated and abandoned.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
In accordance with the provisions of Sections
177.101, 336.09 and 336.10, Florida Statutes, as
amended, and Section 11.10.01 et. seq. of the
St. Lucie -County Land Development Code, on the
22nd day of October, 2019 the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, approved
the petition, to close, vacate and abandon a drainage
and utility easement in Lakewood Park -Unit 12a,
hereinafter described, and renounce and disclaim any
right of St. Lucie County and the public in and to the
lands lying In the drainage and utility easement being
more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of a platted 10-foot utility &
drainage easement, as described as follows:
The South 168.47 feet of the West 10 feet of Lot
12, Block 173-A, Lakewood Park - Unit 12a, according
to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 11, Pages
