Good Morning EDC Partners
Yesterday, President Trump signed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic
Security (CARES) Act. This much anticipated economic relief plan for individuals and
businesses includes: Expanded Unemployment Insurance, Paycheck Protection Program,
Recovery Rebate for Individual Taxpayers, a variety of Business Tax Provisions, Emergency
Lending to Businesses, States and Cities, Health Provisions and a Coronavirus Relief Fund. The
Tax Foundation has compiled a brief for each of the programs that can be viewed at
htti)s://taxfoundation.orR/cares-act-senate-coronavirus-bill-economic-relief-plan/.
On Monday, March 30 at 3:00 pm we will be hosting a webinar "What Businesses Need to
Know About the Emergency Family Leave Act and Paid and Sick Leave Act" with experts to
better understand the economic relief package, Families First Coronavirus Relief Act
(FFCRA). Expert presenters include Daryl J. Krauza, Shareholder with DEAN MEAD Attorneys at
Law and Christopher Fogal, Partner at Carr Riggs & Ingram CPAs and Advisors. Registration is
required. Please CLICK HERE to register.
The Department of Economic Opportunity has prepared a Reemployment Assistance COVID-
19 FAQ for employers and employees seeking to better understand the Unemployment
Compensation Insurance assistance program. Please CLICK HERE to view and please share
with anyone you feel may benefit from this information.
