St. Lucie County ordered a “Safer-At-Home Order” for all residents within St. Lucie County
including the cities of Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie effective Saturday, April 4 at 6 a.m. This
order details essential businesses and the 6 feet physical distancing requirements. Please

The Small Business Administration and U.S. Treasury released detailed information on the
Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) from the CARES Act, including a borrower fact sheet and
sample application form. The loan program details include:
Eligibility:
a) <500 employees (including sole proprietorships, independent contractors and self-
employed persons, private non-profit organizations or 501c19 veterans organizations
b) >500 employees pursuant to SBA employee size standards
Application Process: Through an existing SBA 7a lender
a) Please visit your financial institution to see if they are an SBA 7a participating lender
in the program or
b) the SBA will be providing a lenders list later this week
Anticipated application start date:
a) April 3 - small businesses and sole proprietorships
b) April 10 - independent contractors and self-employed individuals

Loan Forgiveness: Funds used for payroll costs, interest on mortgages, rent, and/or
utilities in the eight weeks following loan origination
Loan Amount: up to two months of your average monthly payroll costs x 25%
(calculated from SBA defined time frame)
Interest Rate: capped at 4%
