A REQUEST FOR REISSUANCE OF GRANT OF AUTHORITY TO TRANSFER
FOREIGN-TRADE ZONE NO. 218 FROM TREASURE COAST FOREIGN-TRADE
ZONE, INC. TO ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Foreign-Trade Zone No. 218 was pursuant to FTZ Board Order No.
851 approved on October 24, 1996 and published at 61 Federal Register 58036 on
November 12, 1996 and;
WHEREAS, The zone currently consists of four sites and no subzones and;
WHEREAS, Treasure Coast FTZ Inc. is currently the Grantee organization for
Foreign-Trade Zone No. 218 and;
WHEREAS, Treasure Coast FTZ wishes to transfer the grant of the authority for
the zone to St. Lucie County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE TREASURE COAST FOREIGN TRADE ZONE, INC. AS FOLLOWS:
1 . With the Approval of the Foreign-Trade Zones Board, the grant of
authority will be transferred from Treasure Coast FTZ to St. Lucie County.
2. All existing zone sites will be transferred.

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A REQUEST FOR
REISSUANCE OF GRANT OF AUTHORITY TO
TRANSFER FOREIGN-TRADE ZONE NO. 218 FROM
TREASURE COAST FOREIGN-TRADE ZONE, INC. TO
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, March 4, 1994, Central Florida Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. was
incorporated as a Florida not for profit corporation; and,
WHEREAS, on October 24, 1996, Foreign-Trade Zone No. 218 was created
pursuant to FTZ Board Order No. 851 published at 61 Federal Register 58036 on
November 12, 1996 and;
WHEREAS, Central Florida Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. was designated the Grantee
for Foreign Trade Zone No. 218;and,
WHEREAS, effective October 31 , 2012, the name of Central Florida Foreign Trade
Zone, Inc., was changed to Treasure Coast Foreign Trade Zone, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, effective September 22, 2017, Treasure Coast Foreign Trade Zone,
Inc., was administratively dissolved by the State of Florida Division of Corporations for
failure to file the 2017 annual report; and,
WHEREAS, at the time of its dissolution on September 22, 2017, the president of
Treasure Coast FTZ, Inc. was John Wiatrak; and,
WHEREAS, Treasure Coast Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. is currently the Grantee
organization for Foreign-Trade Zone No. 218; and,
WHEREAS, in order for Foreign Trade Zone No. 218 to continue its operations, it
is necessary and appropriate to transfer the Grantee designation to a viable entity willing
and able to operate the Foreign Trade Zone in accordance with federal laws and
regulations; and,
WHEREAS, St. Lucie County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, is
willing and able to operate Foreign Trade Zone No. 218 as the designated Grantee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SURIVING PRESIDENT OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE TREASURE COAST FOREIGN TRADE ZONE,
INC. AS FOLLOWS:
1 . The recitations set forth above are true and accurate.
2. In recognition of the dissolution of Treasure Coast Foreign Trade Zone, Inc.,
it is appropriate for a new Grantee for Foreign Trade Zone No. 218 to be designated in
order for the Trade Zone to continue its operations.
3. In order to complete the winding down of the affairs of Treasure Coast
Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. in accordance with Section 617.1201, Florida Statutes, transfer
of the Foreign Trade Zone No. 218 Grantee designation is necessary and appropriate for
the Foreign Trade Zone to continue its operations.
4. By this Resolution executed on behalf of Treasure Coast Foreign Trade
Zone, Inc., a dissolved Florida nor for profit corporation, by its surviving president of the
Board of Directors, and in order to wind down the affairs of the corporation, support is
hereby given for the Foreign Trade Zones Board to transfer the Foreign Trade Zone No.
218 Grantee designation to St. Lucie County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida.
