A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SOUTH FLORIDA WATER
MANAGEMENT DISTRICT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
(MOU NO. 4600004178) FOR THE C-23/24 STA AND AUTHORIZING
THE CHAIR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. Acceptance of the Memorandum of Understanding with the South Florida Water
Management District for the construction, operation and maintenance of the C-
23/24 STA and associated drainage facilities more fully described in the
Memorandum of Understanding and associated exhibits; to accept conveyance
of tracts for future right of ways; and to execute temporary construction
easements and perpetual maintenance easements for those facilities that fall
within St. Lucie County rights-of-way constitutes a purpose and is in the best
interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of St. Lucie County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby accepts and approves the Memorandum of Understanding
with the South Florida Water Management District to construct, operate and
maintain the C-23/24 STA and associated drainage facilities.
2. The Board hereby authorizes the Chair to execute the above-referenced
agreement and further authorizes the County Attorney to execute the agreement
by approving it as to form and correctness.
