A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT (FM NO. 429936-2) FOR REPLACING THE EXISTING SR
A1A NORTH BRIDGE CAUSEWAY OVER THE INTRACOASTAL
WATERWAY AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM AND
CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
Acceptance of the Highway Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida
Department of Transportation to construct the SR A1A North Causeway Bridge over the
Intracoastal Waterway and associated roadway, sidewalk, and drainage facilities more
fully described in Exhibit A Project Scope of the Memorandum of Agreement; and to
maintain those facilities that fall within the St. Lucie County jurisdiction, is in the best
interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of St. Lucie County
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby accepts and approves the Highway Maintenance
Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for
replacing constructing the SR A1A North Causeway Bridge over the Intracoastal
Waterway and associated facilities.
2. The Board hereby authorizes the Chair to execute the above-referenced
agreement and further authorizes the County Attorney to execute the agreement
by approving it as to form and correctness.
After motion and second, the vote on this Resolution was as follows:
