A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING APRIL 18 THROUGH APRIL 24, 2021 AS
"VOLUNTEER WEEK" IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. HANDS of St. Lucie County, a Volunteer in Medicine Clinic, is proud of the Volunteers, who
not only serve the community with pride and commitment but help to make sure that St.
Lucie County is a healthy, great place to live, work and raise a family.
2. HANDS Volunteers are one of our community's greatest assets continuing to inspire, equip,
and mobilize people to take action that changes the world.
3. HANDS works collaboratively with the support of multiple agencies in St. Lucie County such
as the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, United Way of St. Lucie County,
Children Services Council, and many more.
4. HANDS has numerous community events that thrive due to volunteer participation.
5. Volunteers are vital to our future as a caring and productive nation.
6. HANDS of St. Lucie County honors and celebrates this service.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby proclaim April 18 through 24, 2021 as "VOLUNTEER WEEK" in St. Lucie
County, Florida.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 6th day of April 2021.
