A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN INVENTORY OF COUNTY
OWNED PROPERTY SUITABLE FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING
PURSUANT TO SECTION 125.379, FLORIDA STATUTES, PROVIDING
FOR REVIEW OF THE INVENTORY LIST ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 2022,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County Florida (the
"Board"), has made the following determinations:
1. Pursuant to Section 125.379, Florida Statutes, each County is required to prepare
an inventory of all real property within its jurisdiction held by the County in fee simple title that is
appropriate for use as affordable housing.
2. The Community Services Department has compiled a list of property owned by the
County in fee simple that is suitable for affordable housing attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
3. On August 17, 2021, this Board held a public hearing to consider approval of the
proposed inventory list, after publishing a notice of such hearing in the St. Lucie New Tribune on
July 28, 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
1. Pursuant to Section 125.379, Florida Statutes, the Board hereby approves the
inventory list of properties held by the County in fee simple title attached hereto and incorporated
herein as Exhibit "A" as appropriate for affordable housing.
2. The Board shall review the inventory list on or before July 1, 2022, and every three
years thereafter to consider revision to the inventory as the Board may deem necessary.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
