HomeMy WebLinkAbout21-358RESOLUTION NO. 2021-358 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE MILLAGE RATES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determination: On September 9, 2021, after TRIM notices were mailed to all property owners pursuant to Section 200.069, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners (sitting as the Board of County Commissioners, the Mosquito Control Board, and the Erosion Control Board) held a public hearing to consider adopting the tentative millage rates for fiscal year 2021-2022 and adopted the tentative millage rates. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida: A. The following are hereby adopted as the tentative millage rates for fiscal year 2021-2022: FY 22 Tentative Millage Fund Name Rate General Fund 4.2077 Fine & Forfeiture Fund 2.9824 MUNICIPAL SERVICES TAXING UNITS Unincorporated Services Fund 0.4300 Drainage Maintenance MSTU 0.4731 Law Enforcement MSTU 0.9103 Parks MSTU Fund 0.2313 SLC Public Transit MSTU 0.1269 SHI Beach Erosion Control 0.7455 MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT Mosquito Fund 0.1352 EROSION DISTRICT Erosion Control Operating Fund 0.1763 Aggregate Millage Rate 8.5630 (excludes interest and sinking fund levies on voter approved indebtedness) B. The proposed aggregate millage rate to be levied of 8.5630 is higher than the roll -back rate of 8.3171 as computed pursuant to Section 200.065(1), Florida Statutes by 2.96%.
