A RESOLUTION HONORING THE FORT PIERCE FIREHAWKS POP WARNER FOOTBALL
NATIONAL CHAMPIONS AND CONGRATULATING THE PLAYERS, COACHES, PARENTS, AND FAMILY
ON THIS HISTORIC ACCOMPLISHMENT IN ST.LUCIE COUNTY,FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. St. Lucie County has well developed youth sports programs that teach our next generation
about competition, teamwork, sportsmanship, and life.
2. The Fort Pierce Firehawks Football team through hard work, dedication, and commitment
played an exceptional season that culminated in these young athletes becoming the 2021
Division II Under 14 Pop Warner National Champions.
3. The Firehawks went undefeated in the regular season and in the playoffs finishing with a
17-0 record that included two wins in the Treasure Coast Football Conference, four wins
in the Southeast Regional Championship, and three wins in the National Playoffs.
4. With a 26-point lead into the 3' quarter, the Firehawks ultimately won the National
Championship, defeating the Northampton Indians by a score of 38-12.
5. These young men demonstrated incredible athletic abilities against the best competition
in America in their age group which brought great honor and pride to our sports loving
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida that this Board does hereby issue this proclamation in honor of the Fort Pierce
Firehawks Pop Warner Football National Champions and congratulates the players, coaches,
parents, and family on this historic accomplishment in St. Lucie County, Florida.
