A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY APPROVING CERTAIN INCENTIVES ON
BEHALF OF MEYER UTILITY STRUCTURES, LLC., ("ARCOSA").
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. Meyer Utility Structures, LLC., ("ARCOSA") is an industry leader in the engineering design
and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and
substation applications manufacturer, which is a targeted industry in St. Lucie County.
2. In addition to a generous benefits package, ARCOSA earnings per worker is above the
average earnings for St. Lucie County.
3. ARCOSA has identified vacant land and has begun construction of a manufacturing facility
in Fort Pierce.
4. The project will include approximately 89,000 square feet of new manufacturing facility and the
creation of 101 new jobs. The employment schedule consists of 50 new jobs in Year 1, 42 new jobs in
Year 2, and 9 new jobs in Year 3.
5. St. Lucie County is offering an incentive package to ARCOSA for the benefit of the residents
of St. Lucie County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida. that in consideration of the benefits gained by the residents of St. Lucie
County through the development of ARCOSA's new facility, the following incentives are offered:
A. St. Lucie County Job Growth Incentive Grant (JGIG) - The Board authorizes County staff
to prepare a JGIG agreement with ARCOSA for the creation of 101 new jobs pursuant to
the Job Growth Investment Grant guidelines.
