A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON (IRL) COUNCIL
AGREEMENT (No. 2022-28) TO ENGINEER, PERMIT, AND DESIGN A WATER
QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ALONG THE C25 CANAL IN ST. LUCIE
COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following
determinations:
1. The Indian River Lagoon (IRL) Council has awarded the County funding to engineer, permit, and design a water
quality improvement project along the C25 Canal in St. Lucie County to provide a benefit to the local underserved
communities as most presently have no drainage or water quality infrastructure.
2. The Board should authorize and approve execution of the Agreement (No. 2022-28) with the
Indian River Lagoon (IRL) Council for the above -referenced project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby accepts and approves agreement with the Indian River Lagoon (IRL) Council (No. 202228) to provide
funding to engineer, permit, and design a water quality improvement project along the C25 Canal in St. Lucie County.
2. The Board hereby authorizes and Chair to execute the above -referenced agreement and further
authorizes the County Attorney to execute the agreement by approving it as to form and correctness.
After motion and second, the vote on this resolution was as follows:
