LUCIE COUNTY DRUG LAB FEE SCHEDULE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, ("Board") has made the following determinations: 1. The St. Lucie County Drug Lab was started in July 2008. 2. On April 17, 2018,the Board authorized a Drug Lab testing fee increase of five dollars and 0/100 ($5.00)for basic drug testing, raising the testing fee from twenty dollars and 0/100($20.00) per test to twenty-five dollars and 0/100 ($25.00) per test effective May 1, 2018. 3. The Board desires to adopt and increase certain fees as shown below. 4. The Board has determined it is appropriate to modify the St. Lucie County Drug Lab fee schedule to properly reflect the cost of providing drug testing services. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners for St. Lucie County, Florida: 1. Ratification of Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and confirmed as true and correct and are hereby made a part of this Resolution. 2. Fee Schedule. The Board hereby adopts the following Schedule of Fees: a. Agency Fee $30.00 b. Drug Court $40.00 c. Department of Juvenile Justice $10.00 d. Department of Children & Families $30.00 e. Walk-In $30.00 f. No-Sample $5.00 3. Conflict. If any resolutions, or parts of resolutions, are in conflict herewith, this Resolution shall control to the extent of the conflicting provisions. 4. Severability. The provisions of this Resolution are intended to be severable. If any part of this Resolution is determined to be void or is declared illegal, invalid, unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this Resolution shall remain in full force and effect. 5. This Resolution shall take effect on May 1, 2023.
