HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-063 RESOLUTION NO. 23-063 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 22-223 PARAGRAPH 4 MEMBERSHIP/COMPOSITION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS FOR THE LOCAL TECHNOLOGY PLANNING TEAM TO 15 MEMBERS; AS TO PARAGRAPH 6 TERMS FOR EACH MEMBERS TERM OF OFFICE SHALL BE 4 YEARS, STAGGERED; AS TO PARAGRAPH 7 STAFFING TO COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AND DESIGNATED STAFF PROVIDE NECESSARY PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS,the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners has determined that a Team should be established to advise the Board of County Commissioners and staff on the advancement of broadband service and infrastructure in St. Lucie County; and WHEREAS,the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to set forth certain procedural details for the Local Technology Planning Team. WHEREAS, on November 15, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 22-223 establishing the Local Technology Planning Team in St. Lucie County. WHEREAS, the Board desires to amend Resolution No 22-223 to increase the number of members for the Local Technology Planning Team from 13 to 15 members, to amend designated staff to provide necessary professional support to the LTPT and to amend the term of office for each member shall be 4 years, staggered. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners amends the resolution as follows: 1. As to Paragraph 4. MEMBERSHIP/COMPOSITION The LTPT shall be comprised of 15 members. Appointments are made by the Board of County Commissioners. The membership is as follows: St. Lucie County Commissioner or designee St. Lucie County Library Director or designee St. Lucie County School District Representative St. Lucie County Health Care Provider Representative St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce Representative St. Lucie County Tourism Director or designee Economic Development Council Representative United Way of St. Lucie County Representative City of Fort Pierce Representative City of Port St. Lucie Representative St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation Director or designee St. Lucie County Chief Information Officer or designee Page 1 Local Broadband& Internet Service Provider Representatives 2. As to PARAGRAPH 6. TERMS The terms of office of the members shall be 4 years, staggered. A vacancy occurring during a term shall be filled for the unexpired term. 3. As to Paragraph 7. STAFFING The County Administrator and designated staff shall provide necessary professional support to the LTPT. PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 2nd day of May 2023.
