Home My WebLink About23-111 FILE # 5216561 OR BOOK 5016 PAGE 391, Recorded 07/12/2023 03:38:15 PM RESOLUTION NO.2023-111 DATE:JULY 11,2023 A RESOLUTION RENAMING SERENDIPITY AVENUE TO BLUE FIN AVENUE,PLEASURE AVENUE TO BARRACUDA AVENUE,SUNSHINE AVENUE AND LEISURE LANE TO SUNFISH AVENUE,LAZY LANE TO ANGEL AVENUE,AND RELEASE CAREFREE LANE ON THE SITE PLAN OF SAVANNAS RIDGE,FORMERLY KNOWN AS PLEASURE COVE PLANTATION MANOR IN THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE,LYING IN SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 35 SOUTH,RANGE 40 EAST,ST.LUCIE COUNTY,FLORIDA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. Section 336.05(1), Florida Statutes, authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to name and rename streets and roads lying outside the boundaries of any incorporated municipality. 2. Pursuant to Ordinance No.87-8,Part A,St.Lucie County Code of Ordinances Section 36- 51,there shall be no duplication of street names in St.Lucie County. 3. Pursuant to St. Lucie County Land Development Code Section 7.05.08(C)(2), streets, regardless of functional classification,which run parallel to the north-south base line (Orange Avenue) shall be called avenue, drive or some other designation beginning with a letter in the first half (A through M)of the alphabet. Street,regardless of classification,which run parallel to the east-west base line(U.5.Highway 1)shall be called terrace,place,or some other designation beginning with a letter in the second half(N through Z)of the alphabet. 4. The Property Acquisition Division received a request from Shannon Zohn of Yes! Communities to rename existing streets and release Carefree Lane on the Site Plan of Savannas Ridge, formerly known as Pleasure Cove Plantation Manor. Public Safety, the City of Fort Pierce, and the Property Acquisition Division have reviewed,verified,and approved the street name changes. 5. Serendipity Avenue is a private right-of-way, lying in Section 22, Township 35 South, Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": SERENDIPITY AVENUE TO BLUE FIN AVENUE 6. Pleasure Avenue is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": PLEASURE AVENUE TO BARRACUDA AVENUE 7. Sunshine Avenue is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": SUNSHINE AVENUE TO SUNFISH AVENUE 8. Leisure Lane is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": LEISURE LANE TO SUNFISH AVENUE 9. Lazy Lane is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": LAZY LANE TO ANGEL AVENUE 10. Carefree Lane is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be released due to the installation of a parking area,as shown on attached Exhibit"A": CAREFREE LANE TO BE RELEASED NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida: A. Serendipity Avenue is a private right-of-way, lying in Section 22, Township 35 South, Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": SERENDIPITY AVENUE TO BLUE FIN AVENUE B. Pleasure Avenue is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": 2 PLEASURE AVENUE TO BARRACUDA AVENUE C. Sunshine Avenue is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": SUNSHINE AVENUE TO SUNFISH AVENUE D. Leisure Lane is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": LEISURE LANE TO SUNFISH AVENUE E. Lazy Lane is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 South,Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A": LAZY LANE TO ANGEL AVENUE F. Carefree Lane is a private right-of-way,lying in Section 22,Township 35 south,Range 40 East and shall be released due to the installation of a parking area,as shown on attached Exhibit"A": CAREFREE LANE TO BE RELEASED G. The Property Acquisition Division is hereby directed to notify the appropriate Utilities, the U.S. Postal Service, the Property Appraiser, the Supervisor of Elections, and the St. Lucie County Sheriff and record the Resolution in the Public Records of St.Lucie County.
