A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN INVENTORY OF PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE COUNTY OR ANY DEPENDENT SPECIAL DISTRICT
WITHIN THE COUNTY APPROPRIATE FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING
PURSUANT TO SECTION 125.379, FLORIDA STATUTES, PROVIDING
FOR REVIEW OF THE INVENTORY LIST ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER
1,2023,AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County Florida (the
"Board"),has made the following determinations:
1. Pursuant to Section 125.379, Florida Statutes, each County is required to prepare
an inventory of all real property within its jurisdiction held in fee simple title by the County or any
dependent special district within the County that is appropriate for use as affordable housing.
2. The Community Services Department has compiled a list of property owned in fee
simple by the County and any dependent special district within the County that is suitable for
affordable housing attached hereto as Exhibit"A".
3. On September 5,2023,this Board held a public hearing to consider approval of the
proposed inventory list, after publishing a notice of such hearing in the St. Lucie News Tribune on
August 20, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY,FLORIDA:
1. Pursuant to Section 125.379, Florida Statutes, the Board hereby approves the
inventory list of properties held in fee simple title by the County or any dependent special district
within the County attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A" as appropriate for
affordable housing.
2. The Board shall review the inventory list again on or before October 1, 2026, and
every three years thereafter to consider revision to the inventory list as the Board may deem
necessary.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
