A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING
ATLAS FOR 12 PARCELS OF LAND OWNED BY ST. LUCIE
COUNTY FROM THE RS-2, AR-1 AND AG-5 DISTRICTS TO THE
CPUB (CONSERVATION PUBLIC) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, based on
testimony and evidence, including, but not limited to the staff report, has made the following
determinations:
1. St. Lucie County has initiated amendments to the Official Zoning Atlas for 12 parcels
totaling 862.4 acres (M.O.L.) of public property to the CPUB (Conservation Public)
zoning district consistent with the intended use of the properties.
2. On May 18, 2023, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public
hearing on the petition, of which due notice was published in the St. Lucie News
Tribune and via a sign posted on the property and recommended that the Board of
County Commissioners approve the change in zoning to the CPUB (Conservation
Public)zoning district.
3. On June 6, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida,
held the first public hearing of which due notice was published in the St. Lucie News
Tribune and via a sign posted on the property.
4. On September 19, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida, held the second public hearing of which due notice was published in the St.
Lucie News Tribune and via a sign posted on the property.
5. The proposed change in zoning is consistent with the approved Comprehensive Plan
Future Land Use Map Amendment to designate the subject +/- 862.4 acres as CPUB
(Conservation Public).
6. The proposed change in zoning satisfies the requirements of Section 11.06.03 of the
St. Lucie County Land Development Code and is consistent with the goals, objectives,
and policies of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan.
7. The proposed change in zoning is consistent with the existing and proposed use of
property in the surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:
A. The proposed amendments to the Official Zoning Atlas for 12 parcels totaling 862.4
acres (M.O.L.) of public property to the Conservation Public (CPUB) zoning district for
property depicted in Exhibit"A" is approved.

B. The Planning and Development Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to
cause the change to be made on the Official Zoning Atlas of St. Lucie County, Florida,
and to make notation of reference to the date of adoption of this Resolution.
C. This Resolution shall be recorded in the Public Records.
D. This Resolution shall take effect thirty-one (31) days after adoption. If the Resolution or
Ordinance No. 2023-12 is challenged within thirty (30) days after adoption, the
Resolution shall not be effective until the State Land Planning Agency or
Administration Commission respectively issues a final order finding Ordinance No.
2023-12 in compliance in accordance with Section 163.3184(10) F.S.
