A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY APPROVING CERTAIN INCENTIVES ON
BEHALF OF TREASURE COAST FOOD BANK.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. The Treasure Coast Food Bank regional headquarters, a targeted industry, distributes
millions of pounds of food and meals a year, is seeking to consolidate its multiple properties and
enhance its operating capacity in St. Lucie County.
2. In addition to a generous benefits package, Treasure Coast Food Bank earnings perworker
is above the average earnings for St. Lucie County.
3. The Treasure Coast Food Bank has identified vacant land and will construct a warehouse
and distribution facility in Fort Pierce.
4. The project will include a 113,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and the creation of 53 new
jobs. The employment schedule consists of 19 new jobs in Year 1; 18 new jobs in Year 2; and 16 new
jobs in Year 3.
5. St. Lucie County is offering an incentive package to Treasure Coast Food Bank for the benefit
of the residents of St. Lucie County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida, that in consideration of the benefits gained by the residents of St. Lucie
County through the development of the Treasure Coast Food Bank's new facility, the following
incentives are offered:
A. St. Lucie County Job Growth Incentive Grant (JGIG) - The Board authorizes County
staff to prepare a JGIG agreement with the Treasure Coast Food Bank for the
creation of 53 new jobs pursuant to the Job Growth Investment Grant guidelines.
