HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-208 RESOLUTION NO. 23-208 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 23-102 PARAGRAPH 4 MEMBERSHIP/COMPOSITION TO DELETE THE COUNSEL ON AGING REPRESENTATIVE AND DECREASE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS FOR THE LOCAL TECHNOLOGY PLANNING TEAM TO 13 MEMBERS IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS,the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners has determined that a Team should be established to advise the Board of County Commissioners and staff on the advancement of broadband service and infrastructure in St. Lucie County; and WHEREAS,the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to set forth certain procedural details for the Local Technology Planning Team. WHEREAS, on November 15, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 22-223 establishing the Local Technology Planning Team in St. Lucie County. WHEREAS, on May 2, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 23-063 which amended Resolution No. 22-223 to increase the number of members for the Local Technology Planning Team, amended the designated staff for professional support and amended the term of office for each member. WHEREAS, on July 11, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 23-102 which deleted members, added members and decreased the number of members for the Local Technology Planning Team to 14 members. WHEREAS,the Board desires to amend Resolution No. 23-102 to remove the Council on Aging Representative and to decrease the number of members for the Local Technology Planning Team to 13 members. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners amends the resolution as follows: 1. As to Paragraph 4. MEMBERSHIP/COMPOSITION The LTPT shall be comprised of 13 members. Appointments are made by the Board of County Commissioners. The membership is as follows: St. Lucie County Commissioner or designee St. Lucie County Library Director or designee St. Lucie County School District Representative Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County Representative or designee St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce Representative St. Lucie County Tourism Director or designee Economic Development Council Representative United Way of St. Lucie County Representative Page 1 City of Fort Pierce Representative City of Port St. Lucie Representative St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation Director or designee Boys and Girls Club Representative Indian River State College Representative PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 7 day !of 'i 2023.
