LUCIE COUNTY DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO APPROVE AND EXECUTE INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENTS FOR USE OF VARIOUS LOCATIONS AS VOTING PRECINCTS ON BEHALF OF THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. The Supervisor of Elections requires the use of various locations as voting precincts during the election season. 2. The Owners of the various locations require Indemnifications Agreements in exchange for the use of the locations. 3. In 2012, certain Indemnification Agreements for specific precincts went before the Board of County Commissioners and was signed by the Chair. Subsequent Indemnification Agreements were signed by the County Administrator as changes to the polling locations and form of the agreement arose. 4. It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners adopt this resolution delegating signature authority to the County Administrator to execute the Indemnification Agreements going forward and to ratify previously executed Indemnification Agreements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, as follows: A. The Board of County Commissioners hereby delegates to the County Administrator its authority to sign Indemnification Agreements on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. B. The Board of County Commissioners hereby ratifies previously executed Indemnification Agreements signed by the County Administrator. C. This resolution shall take effect on the date of adoption. D.
