HomeMy WebLinkAbout24-072 RESOLUTION 2024-72 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE DESIGNATION OF STRUCTURES SITUATED AT 6701 INDRIO ROAD, AS HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT IN ACCORDANCE WITH A REQUEST INITIATED BY THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY HISTORICAL COMMISSION WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, based on the testimony and evidence, including but not limited to the staff report, has made the following determinations: 1. On October 3, 2023, the St. Lucie County Historical Commission, at their Meeting voted unanimously to initiate a Historic Designation review for the property situated at 6701 Indrio Road, as depicted on Exhibit A and described in Part B, after receiving a recommendation referred, by the Port St. Lucie Historical Society.. 2. On January 9, 2024, the Historical Commission held a Public Hearing after adequate public notice was completed and a Designation Report provided regarding the potential Historic Designation of the subject structures. After discussion, the Historical Commission passed a motion to recommend the Board of County Commissioners approve designation of the structures as locally significant resources. 3. On or before March 1, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners received the Designation Report for the subject request. 4. On March 5, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners granted permission to advertise a Public Hearing on the subject request. 5. • On April 2, 2024, this Board held a public hearing on the petition, for which public notice was published in the St. Lucie News Tribune, the property posted (notice on the primary structure's door) and a notice was mailed to all property owners within 1,000 feet at least 15 days prior to the hearing, with additional notice provided to the property owner and representative. 4. Planning Staff has performed a detailed analysis of the site and determined it to be eligible for designation of the structures as locally significant resources, with a report published and causing review proceedings in accordance with Sections 4.11.06 A. and B. of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida: A. The action determined by this Resolution shall not have an expiration date. D. The developer is advised as part of this action, that the property owner(s), developer, etc. including any successors in interest, shall obtain all applicable development permits and construction authorizations for future site actions from the appropriate State and Federal and local regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Department of Transportation, South Florida Water Management District, and the St. Lucie County Environmental Resources, Public Works (including an exception to a Mining Permit), and Building Departments prior to the commencement of any development activities on the property described in Part B. G. This Resolution shall become effective upon the date of recording. Should the property owner, developer or authorized agent wish to appeal, all such appeals must be filed with the applicable Court. Should an appeal to this Resolution be filed, no permitting reviews or further administrative action shall take place on the processing of this development project until the appeal is resolved. H. A recorded copy of this Resolution shall be placed on file with the St. Lucie County Planning & Development Services Department Director and recorded in public records.
