A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST.
LUCIE COUNTY, FL REVOKING RESOLUTION 19-011 WHICH
APPROVED CERTAIN ECONOMIC INCENTIVES ON BEHALF OF
AMERICAN CONCRETE INDUSTRIES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations
1. On January 22, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved Resolution
19-011, committing to incentivize the'15,000 square foot expansion of new manufacturing space for
American Concrete Industries, Inc.
2. Resolution 19-011 for American Concrete Industries, Inc. authorized County staff to
prepare a Job Growth Investment Grant (JGIG} Agreement for the creation of fifteen (15) new jobs
associated with the company's expansion.
3. Resolution 19-011 for American Concrete Industries, Inc. made a preliminary finding that
the nature of the expansion of the existing manufacturing facility met the requirements for an Economic
Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption as set forth in Section 196.1995, Florida Statutes, and Section 42-
28,St. Lucie County Code of Ordinances,subject to submission and review of an Economic Development Ad
Valorem Tax Exemption application and adoption of an ordinance granting such exemption.
4. American Concrete Industries, Inc. has not moved forward with their expansion of the
new manufacturing space and associated job creation.
5. To date, American Concrete Industries, Inc. has not provided County staff with a
response to written requests for status updates on plans to initiate their expansion and job creation.
6. The revocation of Resolution 19-011 shall not prevent American Concrete Industries,
Inc. from requesting economic incentives from the Board of County Commissioners in the future.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida:
A. Resolution 19-011 for American Concrete Industries, Inc., authorized by the Board of County
Commissioners on January 22, 2019, is hereby revoked.
B. This Resolution shall take effect on the date of the adoption.
