A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST.
LUCIE COUNTY, FL REVOKING RESOLUTION 2021-36 AND JOB
GROWTH INVESTMENT GRANT (JGIG) 21-004 WHICH APPROVED
CERTAIN ECONOMIC INCENTIVES ON BEHALF OF JANSTEEL USA INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations
1. On February 23, 2021,the Board of County Commissioners(Board)approved Resolution
2021-36, committing to provide economic incentives for the 43,000 square feet of new manufacturing
space for Jansteel USA, Inc.
2. Resolution 2021-36 for Jansteel USA, Inc. authorized County staff to prepare a Job Growth
Investment Grant (JGIG) Agreement for the creation of fifty-five (55) new jobs associated with the
company's new manufacturing facility.
3. Resolution 2021-36 for Jansteel USA, Inc. authorized staff to assist in the application fora 6-
year ad valorem tax exemption as described in the Country's Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax
Exemption program.
4. Resolution 2021-36 for Jansteel USA, Inc. authorized staff to prepare an Impact Fee
Mitigation Agreement with the company and/or its subsidiaries or successors for the creation of fifty-
five (55) new jobs pursuant to St. Lucie County's Impact Fee Mitigation Program guidelines.
5. On July 27, 2021,the Board of County Commissioners approved Job Growth Investment
Grant (JGIG) Agreement 21-004 for Jansteel USA, Inc., incentivizing the creation of fifty-five (55) new
jobs over a two-year period.
6. Jansteel USA, Inc. has not moved forward with their expansion of the new 43;000 square
foot manufacturing facility and associated job creation.
7. To date, Jansteel USA, Inc. has,not provided County staff with a response to a written
request for status updates on plans to initiate expansion and job creation.
8. The revocation of Resolution 2021-36 and JGIG Agreement 21-004 shall not prevent
Jansteel USA, Inc. from requesting economic incentives from the Board of County Commissioners in
the future.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,
Florida:
A. Resolution 2021-36 for Jansteel USA, Inc., authorized by the Board of County Commissioners
on February 23,2021, is hereby revoked.
B. Job Growth Investment Grant Agreement for Jansteel USA, Inc. authorized by the Board of

County Commissioners on July 27, 2021, is hereby revoked.
C. This Resolution shall take effect on the date of the adoption.
