LUCIE COUNTY EROSION DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/26 FUNDS UNDER THE FLORIDA BEACH MANAGEMENT FUNDING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; SETTING FORTH FINDINGS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County Erosion District (,,District,,) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (,,FDEP,,) have adopted the Fort Pierce Inlet Management Plan and desires to implement the recommendations contained therein; and, WHEREAS, the District has established a Long -Range Budget Plan for the Florida Beach Management Funding Assistance Program and desires to implement specific projects contained therein; and, WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 161.101, Florida Statutes, FDEP accepts and processes applications for the Florida Beach Management Funding Assistance Program; and, WHEREAS, under the Program guidelines of the Florida Beach Management Funding Assistance Program, the District is required to submit a supporting resolution with their application request. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Lucie County Erosion District as follows: 1. FDEP is requested to approve and support the maximum State funding allowed for this application request for Fiscal Year 2025/26. The District will provide the required local share in accordance with the State Legislature, s appropriation. 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
